You will become a speakers bureau’s favorite speaker if you understand the core of what bureaus want. They do not want YOU, they want a phone call from a buyer saying, “WOW! The audience loved your speaker! What do you suggest for next year?!” If you are the vehicle that gives them those phone calls, you become their favorite speaker!
Look at that statement closely. That means you as the speaker had to do a bunch of ‘stuff’ to make certain things happen.
1) You planted in the mind of the buyer what a GREAT company and partner they have in the speakers bureau they used.
2) You gave out the bureau’s business card.
3) You printed your handouts with the bureaus contact information.
4) You say things to the customer like, “What are your plans for next year?” After listening carefully you say, “Call ________ (the bureau who booked you), he has great ideas about that!”
5) You call the bureau immediately after the event with leads you gathered from the crowd.
6) You send white chocolate chip cookies to the bureau. (Ok, I made that one up!)

In this age of totally excessive spam, the filters are getting tougher. Those people who love and want your eNews may not be getting it, because of the spam filters being used to stop the junk.
Here are a few basics the filter look for and "bad" points assigned to each:
(0.4 points) Subject starts with "Free"
(0.5 points) BODY: Image tag with an ID code to identify you
(0.5 points) BODY: Message is 50% to 60% HTML
(0.1 points) BODY: HTML included in message
(0.2 points) BODY: FONT Size +2 and up or 3 and up
(0.1 points) BODY: HTML font color is blue (or red)
(0.1 points) BODY: HTML has very strong "shouting" markup
(0.1 points) BODY: Includes a URL link to send an email
(0.5 points) URI: 're-move' URL contains an email address
